University of Essex – raising aspirations of primary school children.

On Friday 12 June 2026, at the University of Essex 8:30am-2:45pm, University of Essex will be hosting the STEP into STEAM event for around 650 year 6 pupils from across Tendring and parts of Colchester. This event is designed to broaden the horizons of young children from across the country and raise their aspirations to a very exciting future they may have no known was available to them, funded by Essex County Council as part the Year f Opportunity.

The University of Essex would love to invite you to support the day by hosting an interactive exhibition stand to showcase your career with STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Maths). You will be in a large exhibition space with around 100 pupils making their way around the different stalls at a time before the groups rotate to different parts of the event.

Breakfast and lunch will be provided.
