“Sandy’s Farm was founded by Sandy and Gary in October 2020. As parents of children with learning difficulties we soon discovered the calming and positive effects being around animals can have.
The team has been able to provide a facility for students on placements from Universities, College, schools and training providers to learn and develop skills in a safe and inspirational place.
Students work alongside other adult volunteers from organisations that support people with learning difficulties, from neurodiverse backgrounds and mental health issues.”

“Weeley Veterinary Centre has been serving Tendring’s cats, dogs and small furries for three years. The practice is owned and run by Dr April Young MRCVS who works full-time as a Veterinary Surgeon, with running of the business shared with Practice Manager Verity Theobald.
The team has grown from nine to sixteen and is recognised on a national level having won Best Vet UK in their opening year and Best Small Vet UK every subsequent year at the BestUKVets Awards.
The team pride themselved on their exceptional communication skills and endeavour to treat every pet as if they were their own. The practice has amassed over glowing 1,470 glowing reviews.”

“KPF Cleaning was set up in February 2024 after months of job hunting and never hearing back from any of them.
During the hunt my Mum’s condition became worse and I became her carer. She noticed how much I enjoyed cleaning, organising and helping so had the idea of starting my own business.
I started advertising and have built up a client base covering the whole of Tendring. I love helping people and supporting them in any way I can.
I’m currently learning to drive so that I can open up more slots for more customers.”
