Free support and guidance for new or existing businesses in Tendring 

Working in partnership with Tendring District Council as part of the Tendring4Growth initiative, up to 3 fully-funded sessions with an accredited business support advisor at Colbea are available to Tendring businesses to start up or grow. Join their networking groups, access managed workspace and virtual office solutions as well as free business advice.

(Revenue) Inclusive Access to Sport Clubs – All of Tendring District

  • Grants of up to £300 are available.
  • Clubs, schools, clubs, agencies or constituted organisations can nominate young people to received grant funding to support a subscription to a sport and activity club. The fund would be paid directly to the sport and activity club for the young person.

(Revenue) Developing a Coastal Sport and Activity Events Programme – All of Tendring District

£500 Per applicant

  • Grants of up to £500 are available.
  • Grants are available to create a diverse and engaging sports events programme across the Tendring District.  Applications are encouraged to emphasise the district’s coastline and host new events such as Beach Volleyball, Beach Rugby, Multi-Sports Beach Festival etc. The programme aims to attract a wide range of participants, from beginners to seasoned athletes, by offering a variety of sports and activities that cater to different interests and skill levels.
  • Closing Date: Applications will be considered and processed when they are received.  This will continue until the funding has been exhausted.  

(Revenue) Enhancing Sport & Activity Provision in Local Schools – All of Tendring District

£1,000 Per applicant

  • Grants up to £500 (and £1,000 for exceptional proposals) 
  • Applications are available for schools or sport/activity clubs to provide extra-curricular activities, which encourage more young people to become active. Schools in designated target areas, with less afterschool clubs are encouraged to apply, to ensure that support reaches those who need it most.

(Capital) Shopfront Improvement Grant – Clacton, Holland and Jaywick only (Funded by Community Regeneration Partnership CRP)

£20,000 Per applicant

  • Grants between £1,000 and £20,000 are available.
  • Examples of possible works include painting the shopfront in the same colour it currently is, repairing existing windows/doors, filling wooden surrounds and making good.
