(Revenue) Developing a Coastal Sport and Activity Events Programme – All of Tendring District

  • Grants of up to £500 are available.
  • Grants are available to create a diverse and engaging sports events programme across the Tendring District.  Applications are encouraged to emphasise the district’s coastline and host new events such as Beach Volleyball, Beach Rugby, Multi-Sports Beach Festival etc. The programme aims to attract a wide range of participants, from beginners to seasoned athletes, by offering a variety of sports and activities that cater to different interests and skill levels.
  • Closing Date: Applications will be considered and processed when they are received.  This will continue until the funding has been exhausted.  

(Capital) Shopfront Improvement Grant – Clacton, Holland and Jaywick only (Funded by Community Regeneration Partnership CRP)

£20,000 Per applicant

  • Grants between £1,000 and £20,000 are available.
  • Examples of possible works include painting the shopfront in the same colour it currently is, repairing existing windows/doors, filling wooden surrounds and making good.

All projects within all grants must be delivered by 31st March 2026.

Things to remember:

  • No payments will be processed until Tendring District Council receive the funding from Central Government.
  • All funds must be spent and projects completed by 31 March 2026.
  • Applications for both Open Calls and Grants must show value for money and a legacy impact for the future of Tendring’s businesses and residents.
